Paddling in Rutherford County

ROC has a new committee actively working on developing river access points. We'd love to have your help! Contact us to get invovled.

There are a number of great paddling spots in Rutherford County, many of which are suitable for both amateur and experienced paddlers!

Currently, we suggest that you contact River Creek Campground, which is just off Highway 64 a few miles below Lake Lure. They maintain a put-in at their campground and have tube rentals and other services available.

Additonally, Lake Lure Tours operates a public access site for Lake Lure and offers boat rentals. If you bring your own boat you must purchase a day pass or an annual permit to use the lake. The day pass is $6 and the annual pass is $23.

RIVER SWEEP

As part of ROC's dedication to maintaining the Broad River as a recreational destination, we host an annual river clean-up day. Contact us to learn more about this rewarding volunteer opportunity.
