Race Series - Important Note

An important note as we near the end of the Rutherford County Race Series. Due to the fact that we are offering cash and gear prizes all student-athletes, both current and future, must be aware of the rules regarding eligibility and the acceptance of prize money.

In short, a student who accepts cash, gear or any prize of value will forfeit their eligibility to participate at any level be it junior high, high school or college. 

While it is the individual's responsibility to know the rules, ROC and our race team apologize for not making this clear from the beginning of the series. 

For the sake of the final series standings, should a participant forego the prizes to maintain their eligibility then the next person in line in the standings will be awarded the prizes. We will, however, still honor those student-athletes with medals for their performance which is an allowable award. 

As it stands now, this will only impact participants on the men's side of the standings.
