CLIMB
The Blue Ridge Escarpment, including the pictured Rumbling Bald Mountain, in Rutherford County offers climbing opportunities that draw dedicated international rock climbers. ROC is working directly with NC State Parks and area conservancies to preserve this critical asset. To date, more than 50 percent of the climbing areas have been preserved. Chimney Rock State Park will offer some of the best climbing in the Southeast.
